Our Pitch
TechWoman is not just your regular company; it's a movement to create awareness and raise questions about biases in the workplace. We aim to put a "walk" in the talk about everything related to diversity, inclusion, and gender inequality.
Our website is for women like Monica-our primary persona (representing high school students, fresh graduates who are ready for a corporate job, and interns who are looking for full-time opportunities) and Rebecca-our secondary persona (represents our older age group like working moms who need work-life balance, and women returning to work after a long gap who need the flexibility to sharpen their skillset). These personas represent just two distinct groups of users among many with different pain points, wants, needs, and motivations.
Our social media movement addresses the needs of our secondary persona Rebecca by creating awareness around the issues and asking companies to join and support the campaign.
The social media call to action button will lead to our website that helps women like our primary persona Monica by providing our partner sponsored free group coffee sessions with our mentors helping them get paid apprenticeship and paid hands-on learning opportunities. We want to further support it via a 1:1 mentor call, a paid feature where the nominal fee (first call free) helps them get customized solutions/advice from our mentors. If we allow women to eliminate the fear of the unknown by exploration and guidance, and if they feel supported during this phase of the funnel, many girls/women will want to pursue a career in tech.
The early age exploration "Career Day" for schools by our mentors, "Unique Careers" exploration with our mentors, and "Returnship to Work Program" are also exceptional features!
There's a famous saying when you teach a man, you enable an individual, but when you teach a woman, you are helping a village. We all have seen numerous examples of this throughout the history of humankind.
